Dear Parents and Guardians,

December 10, 5:00 pm

This is a message from Superintendent Mary Gorsuch. After consulting with CAL Fire, and due to large scale power outages that are anticipated to continue through Monday afternoon, we have decided all Valley Center - Pauma schools will be closed on Monday December 11, 2017. We continue to closely monitor weather, power and fire conditions in our area. We are very grateful to the combined efforts of local law enforcement, CAL Fire and all other first responders who are doing an incredible job of keeping us safe.

Dear Lilac Families,

December 7, 12:00 pm

Our school is not affected by the Lilac fire. This fire is currently active on the Bonsall area of the 15 and it is moving west. We will continue communicating with authorities, district officials, and families if the situation changes.

As always, our students safety is first.

Maria Cordero,
Lilac School Principal

Dear Lilac Families,

December 7, 7:30 am

The National Weather Service San Diego CA has declared High Wind Warning until 4 pm on Friday.

As we expect these periods of strong winds today and tomorrow, I am taking precautionary actions that include: close communication with the fire department, sheriff's department, district officials, and will keep in communication with parents if the situation changes. We will also hold indoor PE.

As always our students’ safety is first.

Maria Cordero,
Lilac School Principal
